I have stopped in to this small and un-assuming bar in the bus terminal a few times, as I have a friend who works there. All in all, it's a great place to hang out for a few drinks, watch the game or just unwind after a long day. There are always quite a few friendly "regulars" there, and by the time you leave they will be your new friends! I first expected to see more downtown "riff-raff" hanging out there, but that doesn't seem to be the case at all.
Transfers has a pretty basic menu - sandwiches, pitas, caesar salad, nothing too exciting, but everything I have tried has been exceptionally good and the prices are VERY reasonable! For example, my last visit I had a Gyro pita with fries, and it was huge and delicious and only $5.99! Definitely a good value there...it is also worth mentioning that their fries are fantastic - I do not usually eat fries (don't like them) but these were great! I hear the poutine with real cheese curds is out of this world.
If you find yourself at or near the bus terminal with some time to kill, I would recommend stopping in for a drink or three and some food. The ladies that work there are all very nice (I realise I am a little biased here as one of them is a good friend, but it's true) and the atmosphere is fun and laid-back.
The only drawback is that the only (free) parking is on the street...sometimes there aren't any spots, and even the parking lot you have to pay for is sometimes full as well. Not a problem if you're taking the bus I suppose.

I have been getting my cars serviced at Waterloo Honda for 30 years now. One of the reasons I keep buying Honda/Acura is these guys - it means so much to have a garage you can trust completely. They also have a good shuttle service.

Every time I go to Shoppers on Gage I have a very positive experience. All the staff are so very helpful and friendly. They have a very good knowledge of their products. I would highly recommend this store as it has friendly, knowledgable staff, and it supports local artists as well as international fair trade companies. Kultrun Market sells all kinds of unique products (wonderfully scented soaps, delicious chocolates, comfy beautiful clothing, unique and high end jewelry, art, purses, spices, baskets, YOU NAME IT) and it's all fair trade or direct trade. Really excited to see what else comes to the store in the near future! Most unique, meaningful finds in KW!

In 2012, Dr. Ivan Tucakov saved my life. I went there for a regular check-up after receiving his brochure in the mail. During the 1st visit, Dr.Tucakov noticed a suspicious spot on my tongue & immediately sent me to Sunnybook to an oral pathologist. In one weeks time, I was diagnosed with a very aggressive, life threatening type of Cancer. It had already progressed to Stage 3. If it werent for Dr.Tucakovs immediate action, the cancer would have surely spread and I wouldnt be alive. Thank YOU!

The owner first aim is always to please his customers. He is MOST accommodating. If you don't see a product you're looking for in his store, talk to him about it. As was in my case, he'll happily order it for you. He even gave me two items of the product when it came in as a complimentary for steering him to the product. Part way through the week long ENDURrun 160KM stage race this past summer I started battling back spasms along with the distance. The pain was impairing my breathing and freedom of motion. After each stage, and in the one off day, Dr. Colin worked on my back to ensure I was ready for the next race day. i not only completed my fastest ENDURrun but ended it with a personal best marathon time to finish the week. I continued with a few more weeks of treatment, with both Colin and Dr. Erika the naturopath, which put an end to the spasms and let me enjoy the rest of my ultra racing season pain free. We have a large acreage property. We initially commissioned Earthscape to create a landscaping concept plan for the property. Mark Schwarz did a fantastic job and he was a pleasure to work with. Next we proceeded with a fairly substantial tree planting and had Earthscape plant a combination of 77 deciduous and coniferous trees. Sam Bauman and crew worked together very well and the job was completed in a timely fashion. Would definitely recommend this company to others! My trees look great!!

My daughter has been doing karate here for about a year. She loves it! I was really impressed that they offer free classes to new students to try before paying any money. I wish more activities let you do that.
Sensei Barb is great with the kids. She's very patient (espcially with my daughter!) and keeps them moving for the whole class. There's a bunch of different classes for various age groups, there are lots of teenagers and adults with the high belts who train here with Sensei Mike.
Lately my daughter has been saying that she wants to be a black belt "just like Sensei Barb" and I'm thrilled that she has found such a strong role model.
