I loved everything about this restaurant! From the valet service at the door, the discreet but highly efficient service, the fresh and delicious seafood and wonderfully light Molotov dessert, and the extensive list of Portuguese wines. The atmosphere is lively and sophisticated. Nothing dull here. Yes, this has got to be the best Portuguese restaurant in Toronto! Would definitely recommend for special occasions or romantic dinners. Had dinner there on a Sunday night recently. I have walked by many times not realizing how nice the dining room was. There is a fun bar area up front that I noticed walking by , but I wasn't expecting such a nice room in back. Started with oysters, followed by a veal dish. My wife had the beef tenderloin, both were excellent. Server was smooth and there whenever he was needed. Great wine list. Lire plus

Perhaps one of the finest meals I have ever eaten. The bread was hands down THE BEST I have ever had at any restaurant. I was very dubious since this was a recommendation from the hotel but I was very pleasantly surprised. The first waiter was not very friendly but the second one was just fine. Lire plus

After a movie date we were trying to get into one of the places beside the movie theatre but the wait was too long. One of the party suggested the Galway Arms close by. I've never been and I surprised to have a place with good food, service and atmosphere in the area that I hadn't heard of. And I hear its been there for 20 years too!!! We all ordered something different from the menu so we could try different things. Nachos to start - nice big portion with lots of veggies and with lots of cheese. We discovered that the Irish Stew, Shephards Pie, Burgers and Steak and Mushroom Pie were all homemade - so different from the ones you get elsewhere and you could choose if you wanted fries, salad, mashed potatoes or soup with your order. I had the Louisiana Chicken Wrap which was very tasty but its a very large portion so you'll have lunch for tomorrow. Everything was hot and really good and large enough that some of us took leftovers home. Those that didn't cleared our plates!!!!! We were divided on the fries as not all of us were big fans of the hand cut fries but those that did like them loved them - soaked in vinegar. Our server remembered everything (including all of the weird requests) without writing it down and everything came out exactly as ordered. She gave us very prompt service and was naturally friendly to us and even took time to talk to one of the guys who was thinking of a trip to Ireland by telling him when the flights would be cheaper, ideal times to visit, places in Dublin to visit etc. We've decided to make this our after movie treat from now on and look forward to the patio in the summer. Wow! what a great spot on King Street. Owner Tony Loschiavo has done it again. Newly opened Paese on King Street delivers. With a beautiful upscale atmosphere, fun and not pretentious, he is going to give the others on this King St West strip a run! Excellent food, great friendly genuine service. Last week we had to organize a sudden meeting for our project with US clients. Due to lack of time we missed out planning for lunch but thanks to my ‘Opentable’ app Grilled Atlantic Salmon, Chicken Parmigianino, Spring Lamb with red wine that I found Carmelina Restaurant in Woodbine Avenue. Their event catering service for lunch & evening snacks made me & my team proud on my decision. I wonder how I missed looking this food place for last many years. Thank you Abbas for your cooperation & on-time food catering service with delicious Italian food as our guests loved it. Jenna, our server, made the experience so enjoyable! We had a retirement dinner last night. We were provided with a wonderful description of the menu. A lot of laughs. Jenna has a level 3 Sommelier course, if you are interested in Wine. She’s Greek, so loves lamb! But watch out, she’s pretty witty having a Bachelor degree Psychology. It was nice to have such a personable server. We had a lovely room to chat with our group. The food was delicious. Our retiree was provided with a free dessert. Lire plus

This place is the place to be on lazy Sundays, when you want to have a good meal but low energy to prepare it and little money little money to spend. I frequent Hanna's Shawarma for food on Sunday all plates are $11.99, I can eat until I burst, " thats great what a treat !
