I used to come here quite often when it was under different management. It was always good then and it is still good now. My fiance and I were looking for a good quick lunch, I had been here before so we decided to try it again. We were not dissapointed. The food was fresh, hot and cold where it should have been. Even the miso was tasty, some places make it too salty. The couple that runs the place were friendly and happy to help us. The tempura spicy crab roll was my favorite roll from the old menu, I couldn't find it on the new menu but when I asked they said they could make it for me no problem. The food was made right in front of us and it was ready quick, we barely had to wait more than 10 minutes. It is a small shop, room for only 4 or 5 people to sit down so it is food to take home if you have a big party of people, but you wont regret it. The shop is clean and the ingredients are fresh. The service is friendly and the menu is easy to read and easy to use. Lire plus

Every one of the staff members were very courteous and attentive. My daughter had her newborn son strapped to her chest in a wrap and many staff members stopped by to see our 6 week old grandson. The manager on duty even stopped to ask how everything was. The food and service was wonderful. The food never fails to please. We also ordered takeout recently with chicken parm meal for 4. We were able to feed 5 adults and still have some leftovers for lunch. Excellent value! Lire plus

I took a date there for date night. A nice, large booth was offered to us, very romantic and appealing. The food was great in my opinion. Portions were very generous, and the flavour was more of a Canadianized Italian than authentic style. We both enjoyed or meal and the real treat came at dessert with the Chocolate Pizza - amazing and worth going again so I can introduce another to this delicacy. The wine list was surprisingly diverse, a welcome treat. Our server treated us well. Based on my experience I would return to try it out again. Lire plus

I came to this restaurant for my father's birthday and the food was incredible. It is an authetic portuguese restaurant on James street in Hamilton. For an appetizer we had the Bruchetta, which is baked pizza style bread topped with tomato, onion and garlic. Yumm! For the dish I ate the Filete com arroz, which is fish filete with seafood rice. The dish cost $17 but was really cheap considering the amount of food that was provided. I will definetely return to this restaurant and recommend anyone to try this place. They have a large menu with many options. If you havent tried portuguese food or just love the food, you wont be disappointed at the Wild Orchid. Lire plus

We enjoyed the patio during the Mill Race Folk Festival. Lovely cold beer and sangria. Our server apologized for being slow, but we honestly didn't notice that. The festival made the place busier than usual but we felt very well attended to. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The Bean Bar is a really good low key restaurant in the Westdale neighbourhood. They provide an extensive menu with a wide variety to choose from at a reasonable price. The food is fantastic and comes in portions that are not overwhelming where you can't finish it - just perfect. I brought my parents here to see what it was like and it exceeded their expectations. I had the ham and maple cranberry wrap and it was terrific. Definitely hit the spot. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very relaxed and mellow which is nice to have conversation. It's a good place for lunch or an early supper. The staff is super friendly so the service is great. If you're ever in Westdale, it's definitely worth checking out. Lire plus
