After living in Mississauga for a few years, I always can't wait to be in KW for the Pho Ben Thanh's! Surprised to see reviews about inconsistency, they always exceed my expectations. I'll admit, when they first opened several years ago, some dishes would be made inconsistently, or different than other locations, but that all was resolved quickly. My favourites are Sweet and Sour Tamirand CHicken, Mango salad, Seafood Pad Thai, Grilled Chicken Vermichelli bowl, Pepper beef, Eggplant Chicken, Spring Rolls (Fried and fresh). I like to dine in with a bunch of people so you can order several dishes, and each get your own side of steamed rice to soak up the sauces from each dish. ALways fresh veggies, always great. Better food and selection than any viet-thai restaurant west of Toronto, definately. Oh, and don't forget to order a mango fruit shake, they are divine! Lire plus

We had read reviews about this place and decided to visit it one night. We were definitely not disappointed! When we first walked in, we were seated right away. The decor was very nice and casual. My husband and I frequently visit for our Friday night date nights and have never had a substandard meal or service experience. We love the fact that we can have a great meal and a couple of drinks at an affordable price without standing in line. If you like to pay inflated prices for cookie cutter microwaved meals and stand in line for the pleasure, this is not the place for you. The staff has been nothing short of pleasant and accomodating at every visit and make it their business to try to remember their customers. Can't wait for the renovations to be complete so we can resume our Friday night date night ritual. We miss our Olly's!! P.S. The smoked meatloaf is awsome. Lire plus

My Family, friends and I have been going to the Egg and I for years and although I never thought of writing a review, I have to this time. We were greeted immediately and only waited a few minutes for a table to clear, it was packed! We celebrated my birthday last Sunday and I was craving their Herb Feta Omelette, with a side of Cherry Pink Bacon, which in my opinion is the BEST brand to buy, and cooked to my perfection. Our drinks came out fast, coffee was fresh and always available but what I appreciated most was all our food came out at the same time. Everyone enjoyed their order and we all devoured the Banana Walnut Pancakes. I've been to fine dining and can't stand when my portion is the size of my palm and our food is not served at the same time. The Egg and I is a wonderful, fun Family Breakfast restaurant in Hamilton. I have been to Jack Astor's only a few times, and both times the service was great! The atmosphere was also great, very fun, and exciting. You get crayons to colour on the tables and there are funny quotes around the restaurant. My only problem is that when I ordered my food which was a very simple order, it was wrong. My caesar salad had carrots in it and no croutons! Although the food is great and mistakes are made, it is just inconvenient. Aside from the mistakes, it is a great place to go to just hang out with friends, and have a drink or 2. The servers and waitresses are very kind, and they are always on top of everything. The restaurant is also never a mess, I never seen anything even left on the tables when another customer leaves, they are on top of it all right away which is really good. Lire plus

Went here recently for a friday night out. Everything was perfect from the minute we walked in , until the minute we left. Our waitress, Maria , was outstanding. It was nice to walk in to a restaurant and be welcomed like family. We always enjoy the warm buns, it gives us something to munch on while waiting for our meal. We ordered the haddock and chips. The meal came out quick and piping hot. It was the best fish and chips we have had in recent memory. To top it off the apple crumble was exceptional. This is one of my favourite restaurants. I first was taken here by my father after he had been so impressed eating here at a business lunch. We haven't had a bad meal here ever. My favourite meal is always the eggplant parmesan. It has to be prepared ahead of time, so make to to mention when you make your reservation, if you want it. Food quality is always amazing. The owner is attentive, enthusiastic, and passionate about the food and service. The owner may be Greek, but coming from an Italian girl who grow up on my Italian Nana's fresh made food, he knows his Italian food. Lire plus
