Haven't been here for a while and was pleasantly surprised to find that they have redecorated. Replaced a number of tables with booths and that makes it much nicer inside. Food is great. Lots of variety. Excellent prices. The one thing about this place that annoys me is that they never bring your bill to the table -- I always have to go to the cash to find out how much the bill is and pay. Even if you are not into sushi, it is worth a trip to Kakemono! My boyfriend LOVES sushi and although I don't mind it, it is not my favourite meal in the world. However, I love Teriyaki and the Teriyaki dishes on Kakemono's all you can eat menu are wonderful. The prices are reasonable when compared to the price you may for most all-you-can-eat places and the food was great. We will be going back in the near future! Lire plus

Our family goes to this place all the time. We tried other buffet places and the food is not as good as here. I have food sensitivies to avocado and have made requests to make some dishes without it...and they were very accomodating. Maybe we are spoiled since we go there a lot and the owner has become familiar with us....oh well. When you like a place - Im sure you go there often. Yeah....it can get busy there so we know about the slow service at times.....But overall you cannot find a more homey place for sushi in Whitby - IMO. Go for lunch during the weekday and you do get pampered. For lunch I suggest getting the teriyaki stuff since there are NO sashimis. The Oishi Maki roll is really good. Lire plus

Great food...best poutine in Peterborough. My Angel Smokey did not care much for fish...he had to have one final feast of Purveys before he went over the rainbow bridge. Very fussy kitty...so it had to be the best Lire plus
