On the weekend I took the family to the Pacific Northwest Raptor Centre in Duncan. The kids (and adults) loved the flying bird demonstration! The bald eagle was so amazing. It is must see if you are on Vancouver Island. It is just north of Duncan so an easy drive from Victoria (or Nanaimo).

Brian Wilson of Wade Roberts Plumbing came out to our home to help us figure out plumbing for a new downstairs bathroom. 6 years ago, my husband bought a truck from Paul, and today it was my turn! Paul is an amazing car sales man who does not pressure you to buy a vehicle or try to sell you a more expensive one. We took it for a test drive a week ago, shopped around, and went back on Paul's day off to buy it, he was happy to come from Victoria to do so. He has been very helpful to us, and always honest. Went to CRD dump and was told I would be charged double for an uncovered load. It was all bagged, tied closed and tightly packed in the back of my truck. Yes, I didn't have a flimsy tarp flapping in the wind on my load. Ridiculous. Went straight to DL's no issues, now I always go to DL's! What a beautiful get away. If you come to Vancouver Island to experience the West Coast and not some stuffy hotel room this is the place to be. It has waterfront river access and friendly West Coast welcome with gift baskets and personable service. The rooms were lovely. You can use the BBQ and the wharf. You can cook inside or outside and save on food costs. Great for families or friends or just to meet people in the outdoor areas if you want. I would love to come back with friends again.

Brought it to Starr to have it done, An hour later I got a call, it was only a missing o-ring, it was sucking air, hence the steering problem. $45 charge. I love Starr Automotive!

Had a problem with my treadmill. Called for an appointment. Booked in for a service call within a few days. He showed up on time, narrowed the issue down to two things, figured out which one it was, fixed it, charged me a reasonable price and was gone in a little over an hour. Had Excalibur over to repair my dishwasher and fix some trim on my stove since he was over anyway. He was able to come over right away which was nice. He ended up having to order some parts and had to come back to complete the job but everything went well. I would recommend them to anyone in the Cobble Hill/Mill Bay area needing appliance repairs.
