I have been taking my car here for oil changes and service for years. This year I am told that the power steering pump and hose and steering gear needs to be replaced for a total bill of over $3000.00. I take my vehicle to another mechanic to get a second opinion and he said there was nothing wrong with my car.
Honest people, Excellent services,Sam is a very knowledgeable and experienced guy. He has helped me a lot. I would definitely recommend him and his shop.
I don't tend to take the time to leave reviews because I typically don't experience service that wows me or feel that the average of existing reviews is unfair. That isn't the case here. I've taken my car for repairs 4 times over the past 8 years to the Bonavista Esso, each time comparing their prices to alternate shops (because why not?). MUCH cheaper each time, incredibly friendly and fast service, no arm-pulling, I literally have zero complaints. I actually, truly highly recommend them.
Originally this was a 3 star rating as they had followed up with me about the extra charges no my bill. What really gets me is that this mechanic used my name on this review to lookup phone numbers in his data base and wound calling my family to cry about my review. If ever there was a description for unprofessional look no further. Left my car for a quick spark plug job Thursday. Said it would be ready before the weekend. Wound up going over there myself with no call after mechanic hours on the Friday. The attendant told me the work was done just no one called me. Fine, people forget, and it's not like I would have died going a weekend without my car. This however is not the first time this has happened to my brother and I. I chose this place for the convenience of how close it was to my home and level of knowledge/service I had heard from family and friends. This trade off, in my opinion, is not worth the lack of customer service, mildly higher prices, or unprofessional phone calls to family if you take issue with their work.
