Worst Service Ever!!!

I have never written a review of any kind before. I am so frustrated with the service that my family and I received from this establishment that I felt that I needed to write one. They do not have a website to send specific comments to and did not answer the phone on a Monday afternoon today at 3pm. If I am contacted by management or an owner then I will gladly send the info that I have. We got to the lounge last Saturday at 5pm and it took 45 minutes to get a drink each and finally order our food!!! We were then warned that the pizza that was ordered may take as long as 30 mins... it was 1 hour and 15 minutes before we got our food!!! There was no apology for the slow service, just an explanation that they were busy even though it was only half full. We received one drink per hour and there was no deduction from the bill or tip from me, that's for sure! The food is great there but I lived in Olds for a while and I never received service this poor from this restaurant. I'm not impressed and I am not even a person that does this sort of thing, Wow.

Excellent establishment. Renovations in the...

Excellent establishment. Renovations in the lounge seem to be on going... but I understand the circumstances of staffing. Lounge was quite full and full of visual. Cannot wait until completion. Going to look good when it is done. Service was amazing and prompt, although we had a minor wait of 30 min at upon sitting. But that is expected with the staffing crisis in this province. But EXCELLENT, love it and we will be back for more. Mike Calgary.

Just moved to Olds, checked out the restaurant...

Just moved to Olds, checked out the restaurant scene and we found that this establishment had much to offer for a small town. Felt as we were back in Calgary without the expensive prices. Fair priced and big portions. Thank you, we will be a regular client to this restaurant and pub. And the renos in the lounge are looking wonderful, cannot wait until they are done! Keep up the good work.

From Calgary and passing thur for weekend getaway...

From Calgary and passing thur for weekend getaway to the mountains (thru olds) Heard about this place from family members who lived in Airdrie (when the original owners were operating the one in Airdrie) Decided to check it out... EXCELLENT, It will not compare to the restaurant food you will get in either Calgary or Edmonton. Thanks and keep up the good work. (How about expanding to Calgary?!)

We were in the lounge. Renovating, but its going...

We were in the lounge. Renovating, but its going to look great when it is done! New drink menu not out, but owners gave us a sample of a few of the new and exciting line up. 12 draught beers on tap which you don't expect in a small town but in Calgary where I am from! Food: AMAZING. Enjoyed the great portions with more money to spend on the great drinks and desserts. Thanks a million for the drink samplers... we and our friends had a great time! Keep up the good work.

I don't know what the last lady was talking...

I don't know what the last lady was talking about, one bad experience... whatever! I have lived in the Olds community for a few years now and I have never had experienced an establishment quite like the Flames in Olds. Very reasonable pricing, the atmosphere is a little dated but still comfortable. You cannot expect anything like this establishment anywhere else... keep up the good work! We will be back

Everything about this meal was dreadful! There...

Everything about this meal was dreadful! There was something really off about the stuffed potatoes, i.e., bad! The "neptune" was artificial crab, and it had an awful taste, and the chicken was some kind of pressed, processed stuff, not real chicken. The salmon was very small, about 4 ounces, if that. The baked potato arrived after all the food had been served. We were there 3 hours to get this meal. The brownie dessert was dried up, store-bought little brownies. All in all, a very, very disappointing meal and service. We will never be back.
