We did not have a great experience with Top Gun. Would encourage you to check with BBB before working with Top Gun.
I had a blocked chimney, called Top Gun to see when they could come check it out. Hoping to get it done same day as it was Friday of a long weekend. Andrew (owner) was finished for the day but as I was not too far off his route he came over to check it out. He cleared the chimney for a nominal service charge, but found some serious problems cause by water leakage. Showed me pics, emailed me a quote over the weekend and came over first available day to fix it. On time, friendly and helpful.
I sent the guy an email, he never replied. Then I called several days later and we set up an appointment. He never showed up, didn't ask many questions over the phone or give details. I tried to call the cell phone on the website after he was 20 mins late, but the voicebox was full. Very unimpressed.
We had the unfortunate luck of having to deal with this company as well. They gave us nothing but grief, and arguing about a coupon and then insulting us because we wanted to use the coupon, saying it wasn't their fault we had nothing better to do with our time, but cut out coupons. We ended up kicking them out of our house. Very unprofessional to the say the least.
DANGEROUS: DO NOT USE!!!! They will not do anything until they come down for an inspection (which was a 3 month wait). They said the chimney was clean, and seemed bothered by having to come down. 5 months later, our C02 alarm went off. Hydro came down and confirmed that there was a carbon blockage (from lack of chimney cleaning), and it was leaking carbon monoxide in our home. They should not be in business!
I would love to tell you how these guys are at cleaning chimney's, but unfortunately they don't show up. It rained the first day that they were supposed to come so they didn't which is understandable, but maybe a phone call to tell us would be nice. When i called them to inquire on if they were coming he said he forgot to call and rescheduled for the next day. Well here we are and again a no show. I called them and left a message and not even a call back. Call someone else at least they might show up
