As, I write this my wife and I just left the restaurant. We actually live close by and have been to Barnabys often over the years. It's never my first choice, not because of the food but because of the service. It always seems like we are bothering the waitresses. It's not a big deal and the food is good... My family and I have been going to Barnaby's for over a decade. Everytime we go there, we are greeted with a smile and are given great service. Oh, I almost forgot... THE FOOD! The food there is amazing. The portions are so big, you'll leave with a full stomach until next breakfast. If you're hungry, go here and might I recommend the "Hungry Man Special".
I will come here for lunch ocassionally, and I just love the food here. The waitress' are really friendly, the meal comes with huge portions and hot as well, and the atmosphere is nice. If you're in the Oshawa or Courtice area and you're looking for somewhere just for either a simple lunch or a dinner, which isn't too pricey. I'd recommend Barnaby's :).
I love comfort foods, so I love Barnaby's. It's my favourite diner, located in Courtice, Ontario. It's not a fancy place, but it's clean (which is more important to me than fancy). And the service is decent even when there are large crowds. Their portion sizes are generous and the food is tasty, not bland. I've had their breakfasts, lunches, dinners - all yummy.
This is one of my favourite Oshawa area restaurants! Their breakfasts are generous and perfectly made every time with home-made home fries (not those horrid frozen deep fried things.)
Their burgers are excellent, and their souvlaki dinners are the best I have ever tasted!
Definitely worth a look!
