Mothing Fancy and that's what you get

This restaurant is not one that I like but some actually love it. The price is great and is comparable to fast food places that the kids love. My friend loves the "greasy spoon" sort of truck stop atmosphere as do a great number of others. I do not. I would rather eat where the room looks a little cleaner and the staff dress in cleaner clothes. The food is sort of "down home" good and apparently it has its appeal to others who do not have my same standards. I prefer to spend my money and have a nicer environment to eat. I believe that I am one of those folks who just does not like that kind of place to eat. There are a few of us around!! But if you like regular cheap food and don't care for atmosphere, then it will suit your needs.

Good food and friendly service. Nothing fancy, but the place is always busy so they are definitely doing something right! The fish and chips are good quality and inexpensive.

Service was 10 plus. We were in at 6:55 and out by 7:25. Closing time was 7:00 didn't realize until we sat down. Waitress was very nice, food was excellent. Fish had a slight coating that didn't mask the flavor of the fish. And how nice to get home cut fries. Coleslaw was perfect. Next time we are in town, we will return. And thanks again for seating us at closing time, we appreciated it very much.

The two good sizedpieces of perch were excellent and the chips were well done. The cole claw was only average. The elderberry pie was very tasty.
