We arrived at 645pm, the restaurant was 1/3 full.... 3 families waiting and we are told it is a 15-20min wait as they do not have enough staff. This is the second time this has happened at this location. It was kids eat free night and you do not have enough staff... Unacceptable
I recall eating at a Montana’s Grill a few months ago and enjoying an Aunt Emma’s meatloaf. This past Saturday my wife and I had a yearning to try it again, so we went to a relatively new Montana’s in Hyde Park and discovered that it was now listed on the menu as a “Cookhouse Meatloaf” and promoted as being one of the restaurant’s “favourites”. I can see why. Quite frankly, this was by far the best meatloaf I have ever tasted in my life, and at 73 that’s saying quite a lot. Sure you can eat meatloaf at a number of places but I bet you can’t beat having a more delicious one at Montana’s in Hyde Park.
for a chop house you would think they would serve real meat! my husband ordered a chicken sanwich and i ordered a club.. his chicken was processed, grey and inedible.. and my club had lunch meat on it

I was reluctant to try Montana's thinking it was the same as every other restaurant like this but I was wrong. Tons of choices. Great kids menu. Very friendly staff. Seated promptly and food arrived in a good amount of time. Waitress was busy but kept coming back to check up on us. Attentive but not too attentive. Spinach dip was better than homemade or any other I've had. Well cooked veggies, very fresh and very tasty.
Honestly, it's probably the best burger that I've had in a long time! I had the "build your own" sirloin burger with the great Canadian toppings which include, Peameal bacon, Colby cheese, apple butter BBQ sauce and mayo. My girlfriend had the Turkey Club and said it was amazing, I was enjoying my burger too much to try a bite though. The service is also very good! Ours meals were ready very quicky and the server was always around to refill drinks! The only complaint is that their menu could use a little more selection, and it is a bit pricey but all in all it's a great place, and great atmosphere! just I dunno if I'm feeling the cardboard drawing mat for a table anymore, lol.
