    Repairs took way ...

Repairs took way too long. Staff are terrible, thinkv hey are wiser than they are. My insurance company recommended this center and when I emailed the pictures of the horrible repairs my adjuster was not surprised to hear I was unhappy. ?? Stating this is not the first complaint off the record.. Wow. Go elsewhere or the dealership..

Batting ZERO for post repairs warranty

My 2003 Camry was repaired at Fix Auto in late-2011 due to a major front-end collision; frame, bumper, radiator, headlight and hood. Less that 3 months later, I had to spend $352 to replace a metal power steering return line because it was leaking fluid onto my interlocking driveway. Fast forward to this May when the top of the replacement radiator installed by Fix Auto began leaking and I was over 300km from home (on a Saturday). This cost me $391 to replace. So, I decided to ask Steve at Fix Auto to cover the $743 of repairs since a reasonable person can see that the expenses can be tied back to the resulting post-accident assessment or repairs. As per my conversation with my insurance broker, Steve's responses were: ~ the first repair done (power steering issue) at Brimell Toyota on Feb. 27/12 was not as a result of the accident. ~ the second matter (radiator) replaced on May 12/13 at Canadian Tire in Sudbury is problematic since the old radiator is not available. There is a warranty on radiators; however, the old radiator is required in order to substantiate the part was faulty. If Canadian Tire had given you that part, it could have been given to Fix Auto and they, in turn, could have gone back to their supplier for the replacement. My take on this? First, Fix Auto did not properly assess that the front end collision impact caused the power steering return line to weaken. Secondly, Fix Auto likely bought a scrap yard radiator and NOT OEM. That was the original 2003 radiator and it was good for 9 years, Fix Auto put in a radiator and it leaks at that top of the unit after 1.5 years. What do you think? Scrap yard? You're right! You decide if you want to go to Fix Auto and hear them say "it was not a result of the accident." For me, I would like to rate Fix Auto a ZERO for post repairs warranty but this site won't allow me to do so!
