The sushi here at Itto Sushi Newmarket are on the extreme side of stale. The raw fish/sashimi itself was disgusting and slimey, to the point that I was throwing up. It has stale and slimy texture with very fishy taste. Do yourself a favor and dine at another sushi place if you don't want to get sick. The service was also rude and horrible. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Went for lunch here with a friend based on good google reviews, it totally didn't hold up. Lunch menu barely had anything to choose from and from their already limited menu they also ran out of main ingredients like crab along with other things. Veggie maki roll also has pickles inside, definitely not a good surprise. Staff didn't seem inviting. Unless we caught them on a bad day, I wouldn't recommend it.
This used to be one of my favourite restaurants. They had great service, great food, and low prices. Just over $20 a person for all you can eat Japanese food was a great deal! Over the last year or so, the quality has unfortunately declined. Our favourite waitresses seemed to have moved on and the food has gotten very inconsistent. The waiters and waitresses don't feel as caring for their customers. We often have to wait for maybe 5-10 minutes when we have want to wave someone down. The sushi has also come down a lot. The fish is sometimes (rarely) very good but more often than not, taste old or stale. Because of this decline, we've tried to find other all you can eat Japanese restaurants but nothing can compare to what this place once was. A shame, really.
After doing some reviews for a sushi restaurant, we decided to visit Sushi Itto. We had a la carte dinner, total bill was around $40 incl taxes (no tipping!!!). We ordered 2 sushi, sashimi and maki combos which included miso soup with each combo, then we ordered vegie and shrimp tempura (taste was ok). Tempura, sushi combos were served with delay and not a single Thank you -just nodding (what kind of service is this?). At the end of our dinner i remembered that we NEVER got our miso soups. I asked a waitress to give it to us "to go" - and what she does is bringing us the soup in bowl to dine in:((((( Geez! She understood our order just fine in the first place. My husband and I will never go back to this sushi fast food restaurant!!!! And tipping???? --> Forget about it!!!
today i got the veggie tempura... wow, these people used one napkin to soak up an abundance of oil... it was so bad the tempura itself was beginning to go soggy. they gave me a very small amount of sauce (i dont know what it is, but its great with tempura) not even half full. the tempura itself was alright.
Excellent selection of all you can eat sushi. Amazing price, only $12 for lunch. I wish they were a chain.
friend order some kind of octopus that came with 3, 1.5 inch pieces of octopus for $5. ridiculous price
My husband and I love sushi itto! It's good food at a good price. The service has always been good. We have ordered platters as well, and have never been disappointed.
I love sushi itto! Very impressed with the food and service. One thing I would change is the smell of oil in the restaurant. I find that when we dine in, my hair and clothes end up smelling like fried food. I've been ordering take-out lately to avoid this problem. I still recommend it though!!! Just make sure your prepared for the smell!
First of all to "The Service is Horrible" they are not rude ever...well maybe the owner but no one else...Second they dont put lettuce in their red dragon and Third their spicy mayo is absolutly amazing..I recommend everyone to order it on the side to try it out (its free!)...I go to sushi itto about once a week and all the servers and the owner no me and my girlfriend very well even though i have never formally introduced myself. It is a great environment with great sushi which is not different for buffet as takeout!!!! I highly recommend the crispy rolls, and the crispy salmon hand rolls. My only negative is the washrooms I would go to the washroom before I show up
Never had the buffet (perhaps there's a difference), but we get takeout platters often. The staff has been very polite, the portions are very ample, it's wonderfully fresh, and the taste is great. In comparison to other sushi places I've been to, it's a good value - and above-average in taste. The hostess (?) will often offer us tea while waiting for our pickup. We eat there regularly.
I love eating sushi and am satisfied every time when i eat here! the waitress was really polite!
the service is horrible. after your first order they get more and more rude when u want more. they purposely forget items, i say this becuase it has happened everything i've gone. it feels dirty in there and they put luttuce in the dragon rolls.. ewww... they also have nasty mayo that they put in their items and everything is 'okay' nothing in there is 'wow, soo good!". anyways, if you want low priced sushi and u want to eat alot and can put up wiht bad service, go there, and don't look at where they prep the food.. it might turn u off.
This is meant to be an all-you-can-eat style Sushi Restaurant. You get what you pay for! The price is right for what you get. The menu you has an awesome variety and friendly staff If you want gourmet pieces of salmon then go a downtown restaurant. For the record white caucasion gal from Newmarket...don't know the staff or owners....love this restarant though!!
I have been to a few Sushi places and this has to be the worst. The Salmon slices on the rice were extremely small and thin that I had to get more to fill my appetite after eating 50 pieces of maki and spring rolls. I am extremely suprised of the ratings of this place. Did the owners post these ratings? The salmon teriaki was dry and bland.
I go here every weekend. It is my favourite place to eat. I've tried may sushi places and this is by far the best. The buffet is AMAZING. I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT!
for the lunch buffet of about 11 dollars it is a great price for all you can eat sushi, and it is quite good. But it is a shame because the service is HORRIBLE. If you are known to eat a lot like we are, they will become very rude and disrespectful. I do return there every now and then for the lunch buffet because it is not a type of place where the service really matters. Your there to eat!
Good stuff I tell ya. Ive been to some of the best in Brooklyn, no comparison.

I think the Sushi is the best I've ever had. The staff is very nice and polite. I really reccommend This amazing restaurant. You wont regret it. The only complaint I have is that if you have delivery, the Seaweed is tough and was most likely made the day before. I always go there to order and watch them make it fresh. Other then that, I love it.
