Outstanding mouth watering fish and chips after a very long time. Love their batter.Handcut crispy fries and Alaskan halibut cut daily on premises. Reasonable price of 2 pc Halibut and chips served with coleslaw for 12:99 +tax.they also have takeout and daily lunch specials. The staff is very friendly and a clean place .LOVE IT.its a hidden gem. Must give it a try if in Newmarket. Will be back with family.

The Big Catch fish and chips in NewMarket is a very good place to have lunch or dinner at a really convenient price. Owned by a good family, it is the place where I have eat the best Haddock with fries in the hole GTA, soft tasty, unforgettable. I definitely recommend this place from all my heart!

Our family was a huge fan of the Big Catch and were regular customers, until a few weeks ago. When the store first opened, there were 2 large pieces of fish for each order, but now, it has been reduced to one piece, and very thin. We recently ordered 2 pieces of fish, but when we got home, there was one tiny piece, and one piece so small that it had literally dried up while being cooked, and had a large piece of batter attached to it. It was completely inedible. We paid $10 for these two pieces of fish! We thought this must have been a mistake, so we took it back, but were shocked to hear that every piece was apparently weighed at 2 oz, and there was nothing they could do about it. We used to own a Fish and Chip store with the best tasting English-style fish and chips anywhere. The Big Catch was the closest we have ever come across to match ours. In our store, the customer was always valued enough that if there happened to be a mistake made or a piece of fish was not up to the customer's liking, we replaced it with a smile, threw in an extra piece and the customers were very appreciative. Really, to think that you would rather lose not only 1 customer, but our entire family now, is shocking. All you had to do was replace the dried up piece of batter with another piece. We are very disappointed that you obviously don't value your customers and we will now be going to another establishment to get our Fish & Chips.

Excellent Halibut and Chips. Take out or eat in. Either way, order at the counter and take a seat. One order comes with two good-size hunks of fish and enough chips to feed two. Great, fast service.
