Sambuza is a Must See

Cheap and Delicious food, it is easy to miss until you have been there, the place may be a little difficult to find but you can get a great meal and could expect to pay anywhere between $9 to about ~$17, a great deal for the food you are getting. Not only is it delicious but it is also filling. The owner is extremely friendly and you get your meals quick. The atmosphere is great and is definitely welcoming, and the closest I could find to a problem (which is definitely much closer to being a nitpick) is that if you are both vegetarian and gluten free you are out of luck (however if you are one of those things, there is something for you). Better than most ethnic places I have been to in Ottawa, and once you find it once it is much more accessible than the comparable restaurants that often are in the centre of town. I look forward to my next experience there. EDIT: Also it is designed to be a dinner place and the meals feel that way, if you have a choice of going there for either dinner or lunch I would recommend going there for dinner, although I here they are fairly busy around dinner time.

This is a great restaurant! you could pass by it 100 times without ever realizing it is there, but once you do you will have a hard time passing it without stopping in. the food is delicious, the service is great, and the prices are great! you can easily eat lunch for $5 and have dinner for $10. I think the most expensive thing on the menu is about $12. once again the food is amazing! I'd highly reccomend it to anyone who wants a cheap home cooked delicious meal!

Hidden Treasure of Flavorful Delight!

I eat at this little restaurant (eat-in or take-out) fairly often - it is tucked in on the main level of this apartment building on Bank St (across from South Keys Home Depot). The food is home made with great flavor and there is a large selection of drinks (non-alcoholic). The atmosphere is friendly and the service is quick. It gets pretty busy in there for those who know of this hidden treasure. It is definitely worth trying out if you enjoy good, freshly-made food. I have introduced a number of people to this place.

It was a fantastic meals and on the side of the great food was very friendly workers, the manager Mohamed is one of the most friendly people I've met. The food is very affordable. I am now a regular customer.

I love eating at this place. You get home cooked food at such an affordable price. I usually get chicken and rice. But a must are the Sambuza's (Chicken is my favorite). You can choose baked or fried. I love this place and I am now a regular.
