Universal Driving School

Bad experience with Universal Driving School! Registered for 4 days of in-person classes at the Baseline location. Arrived and locked out. No one called or emailed us that they had cancelled. I had to do all the reaching out. They said they didn't have enough to run it then and gave us another date a week later. SAME THING HAPPENED! Locked out! Again no communication. No reply to my email. I had to call again. Claimed the office staff must not have had my phone

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I scheduled a driving lesson and my assigned instructor - Hess said he would meet me the next day. Then 5 min. Later he said he sent the wrong text and that the lesson would be in 2 weeks. So I reluctantly agreed. The next day at 1pm he texts me saying hes outside. I wasnt at home and I was looking after my 1 year old son. In the end I didnt get a lesson and he kept my money and wouldnt refund it. Every time I try to phone they never answer.

Do not go with Universal, they do not employ a sufficient number of in-car driving instructors. We have been trying to book in-car driving lessons for my daughter who has already completed the classroom training. Instructors are simply never available. We finally managed to book a lesson in Barrhaven (we live in Westboro). The instructor cancelled the day before. We have been calling for weeks to set up a new lesson, apparently no one is available. Very frustrating experience.

Do not use this driving school, do your research and find one that teaches the curriculum and treats its customers with respect. After completing all the requirements and being informed by his driving instructor that he had passed, we get a call that it was a mistake and he actually did not pass the in car portion. The owner was rude and treated myself and my son in an aggressive and at times frightening manner. This is the worst treatment I have ever had dealing with a company, STAY AWAY!!!

The instructors really helped me. I was so anxious at learning how to drive but now it is a piece of cake and is so automatic now. I am a much better driver than my friends who did not take lessons. Thanks. Only thing is the school is very busy and sometimes I had to wait but often the instructors will teach even on holidays and weekends which is a big bonus for me as I work during the week.

Great school. My 3 teenagers joined and learned a lot. All 3 of them passed the exams on the first try. Hesi is the best. He taught them well. Well worth the money spent.

First, go and find another driving school. If for any reason you decided to work with them and take in car sessions, just pay session by session, otherwise, you may lose your money as I did! Here is my experience with them: I took in car lessons with Mr. Hesi (who is both the owner and the instructor) and paid 400$ for 10 sessions in advanced.
