There is nothing worse than a Vietnamese restaurant that is not owned operated by Vietnamese. You know what I am talking about. This Restaurant is not that. Pho Vietnam is Vietnamese family owned. The food is authentic as is the quality. The only place I eat Vietnamese food. Recently renovated, great atmosphere, great value, and great food.
The decor in this place is great, but once you get passed that, there's nothing really special with this restaurant. The food is easily found in all Vietnamese restaurants, but my international co-op student from Germany, who I treated to this meal, really enjoyed it. The place was very loud when they were making their milkshakes, almost deafening. Overall, nice decor, ok food, but a bit too loud.
RUDE servers, RUDE owner, Most horrible experience EVER!!
4 of us went down here around 1pm. Based on our experiences with pho places, we know the portions are large so we decided to order two dishes so we could share them. Our waitress took our order.
Then, she came back to kick us out, saying we can't sit there in the restaurant because we only gave in 2 orders. We said alright we can wait (you would think we were still being nice by wanting to buy their food) and do it take out but she gave us the funniest and weirdest look ever, brought our order back to the cash area (I guess to ask the owner if that was OK) and didn't come back to confirm if they were going to give us our order or not. So after a few minutes, we decided to leave the place. When we got up, the owner yelled at us while we were in the restaurant and chased us OUTSIDE, called US rude because we put an order in (they never even confirmed) and that they asked us nicely (if "nice" means giving your customers a funny look for asking to do take-out, then the owner and her servers need customer service training) and told us never to come back again. have never EVER been treated by a restaurant SO rudely. I would understand if we're taking up table space that other customers could use and the restaurant could make more money from but the place WASN'T EVEN FULL! Ridiculous!

Soup is great.
Spring rolls are fantastic.
Price for a small bowl of soup and spring rolls is cheaper than eating at home.
The place is small and gets crowded and noisy, but I don't go there to see the other people....I go there for the food.

This is the best Pho in Scarborough - the broth...
This is the best Pho in Scarborough - the broth is very rich and flavourful. The beef is fresh, the flavour of the broth is beefy, with great spices and fresh cilantro, onion, lime and basil.
Served with fresh bean sprouts.
The summer rolls are large and filled with fresh cooked shrimp and pork with mint and basil - made fresh and served with a great peanut sauce.
