“We have a lot of games that you couldn’t get elsewhere,” says Laura Hamstra, a manager at Strategy Games. “We have a lot of popular games as well, but when people ask for games, we try to get them in.” Whether you’re looking for the classics like Monopoly or Trivial Pursuit; or newer, arguably more complicated and challenging games like Ticket to Ride, Carcassonne, Gloom or Pandemic, Strategy Games has it.
As soon as you walk in, you’ll notice a long shelf full of hundreds of different board games. Strategy Games has a noticeable focus on games that are more strategy focused as opposed to games like Twister. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about the games in the store, knowing how long they take to play, how many players are ideal, which ones are good and which ones are bad – all that good stuff.
