The people are so genuine, it's a mom n pop kinda restaurant, very clean!! But simple ambiance. The Food is so well served, hot, fresh and very home made! The prices are very reasonable, even for low income families!!!BUT...
The PIZZA is Sooo Gooodd.. same price as ordering in, yet you will NOT throw away this golden crispy crust!! Im addicted now,fresh ingredients, cheese to the crust,A+++++?
We come here every time we are in Ottawa, and never had a problem until our most recent trip. On June 25th we were there for breakfast. When the waitress brought our breakfast, one of the plates broke, dumping two breakfasts in my lap! The waitress took everything back, apologized many times, (it wasn't her fault!). She even came into the washroom with a cloth for me to clean up with, checked to make sure I wasn't cut from the shards of the plate. The part that bothered me was the owner DIDN'T EVEN COME OVER TO INQUIRE ABOUT ANYTHING!!!! Very disappointing to my family and myself!! Didn't even say anything when we paid the bill!! (full price too). Now I have a shirt ruined from the bacon and sausage grease!
If we do return here on our next trip tp Ottawa, it will be because the waitress was great!!!!!
The service is always consistently very good. The staff are Eating at Eddy's is like sitting at a close friends kitchen table, banter and good times are always to be had.
For a diner this place is second to none and I would strongly recomend it for fast friendly, consistant service.

LOVE this place! Always there. The waitresses are funny and nice. The owners (who are usually there) are also funny and nice. If nothing else, provides a great place for people watching!

How can you go wrong with $3.25 breakfast special on weekends. It includes 2 eggs, bacon, toast and coffee... you can add homefries, onions, beans for slightly more. This place is packed weekend mornings but you don't have to wait long for a seat. Parking available at the side of the building. This place has many regulars. The staff are welcoming and the food is served only moments after you order.
