This « café» has nothing on the real cafés in the Niagara region and nothing on the culture of Montréal. Burnt coffee and ashy food.
Not enough natural light in the building. Looks like a bar of soap would probably improve it. The black sheep lounge earned this -6000000/10 rating.
We came as a group and had a great time! Cozy and inviting staff plus the owner was a really cool guy. I would definitely recommend it. I love seeing businesses like this in a city that desperately needs them!
Excellent gluten free dinner. Had to wait a bit, because it was very busy but kept us posted and reduced the cost of our meal for having to wait. Entertainment was local talent and very good. Liked that it was also decorated with local artists work. Food /menu changes with local produce available too. Will be back!
My friends and I were in the area for Canal Days. Well the guy who was supposed to take our order (who I'm assuming is the owner) was too busy flirting with the other customers to do so. We were waiting for what felt like a long time. So we decided to leave and go to a bar instead. Terrible service!
I gave this place a shot when I was out with the besties. The coffee? Way too expensive for coffee that tastes like it was boiled. The service? Comes with a fake smile. The performance that night? A joke. The only good thing is the location, but there are other better places nearby anyway.
We noticed there was trash around the place, so it was not very hygienic. The grim environment was devoid of beauty, and signs around promoted death and evil. Unaesthetic. Overall, a very negative experience.
Overpriced for an economically depressed region. Unhygienic. I'd rather not have flies on my food. Seemed like a sketchy place. Owner was annoying - always a fake smile. Atmosphere felt like that of an edgy teen being rebellious for the sake of shocking others or getting attention. I doubt customers of various faiths would feel safe/welcome here. (Tried to leave a review on another site but it mysteriously didn't appear).
