If so, the perfect place for you to visit is Brooklin Vintage Décor, purveyor of all things you didn’t know you were looking for until you laid eyes on them. “You won’t find a full dining set in here. What we specialize in are unique decorative pieces. Something to complement what they have in their homes,” says co-owner Earl MacKinnon, who runs the store with son Jeremy.

Housed in a former barn-style feed store which goes hand-in-hand with their eclectic stock, you’ll find coffee tables next to vintage signs; sideboards beside old butcher’s blocks. All are lovingly sourced by Earl and Jeremy and transformed into pieces which are worthy of any home. “I like the idea of turning something that nobody wants into something that somebody wants,” says Earl.
