Wee Book Inn

1
10310 82 Ave NW, Edmonton AB T6E 1Z8

The Wee Book Inn has three locations in Edmonton and each store has a resident cat: Fleur, Fergie and Saku. This bookstore buys and sells used books, music and movies, and their selection is current and in good condition. This is my go-to choice for used fiction, and, as a bonus, the Whyte Avenue location is open seven days a week until midnight.

I was charmed by this used bookstore the moment I walked in. The floor-to-ceiling oak bookshelves twist and turn, creating quiet nooks and crannies perfect for reading. The Edmonton Bookstore specializes in second-hand and out-of-print books on Western Canada, world history, military, philosophy and literature, and they’ve also catalogued all of their volumes online.

This community hotspot is located on 112th Avenue in the Highlands community. Mandolin Books sells high quality second-hand fiction and non-fiction, including children’s books. Coffee and baked goods are part of the experience, and the small patio is open during the summer.

Audrey's Books Ltd

10702 Jasper Ave NW, Edmonton AB T5J 3J5

Owned by a husband-wife team, Audrey’s Books is a downtown favourite. The creative window displays often catch your attention as you walk down the street. Audrey’s has a great selection of new fiction and non-fiction and sells gifts, toys and cards. The lower level of the shop can be rearranged to seat small crowds for book readings and literary events.
