I had a visit from a raccoon in the middle of the night who tore the vent cap off. I called Jimmy the Roofer and explained the problem. He was at my door in less than 15 minutes. He was able to fix all 5 vents and add eavestrough covers along 1 side of the house which another contractor had never returned to finish. He and his partner were friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. We have lived in Newmarket for over 25 years (in the same house as well) S R. Gillis has installed and serviced our air conditioning and furnace when we need anything to be done. Our furnace was over 30 years old and finally had to be replaced. Stan and his employees were so helpful during this time. The temperature was -17c and Stan was quick to drop off some extra heaters to help us through the cold couple of days while they were working to get everything up and running even with the limited working space in our 1886 cellar! We needed our porch repaired and also some interlocking fixed that had started to sag. As both of these had been done many years ago by a different company. When Cam came to do the quote he explained exactly how the repairs would be done and provided a written estimate. Once the work was started the work needed to fix the front porch was more than expected and took more time than quoted, but Cam didn't try to charge more.
