I must say that the steak dinner is great however the chicken dishes are lacking. I had stuffed chicken and chicken stir fry and was very disappointed. It as low quality almost like no name brand. Considering the price you pay, I wish they would offer a complimentary bread basket.
That being said, the steak is delicious. I will simply limit myself to steak when I eat there.

We go from Ottawa to Sault Ste Marie at least twice a year. We actually time our exit from the city to make sure we arrive in Sturgeon before RIV closes.
Since poutine is not on my 'heart friendly' food list, I try to limit my consumption. So when we go through Strugeon - we go to RIV. (Even my Dr concedes that poutine twice a year is an acceptable frequency)
I love the mustard 'painted' pogo and the layered cheese curd poutine. 100%

Service is amazing and the food is even better. The chef is very accomadating, attentive and respectful. Staff is just as well rounded as the chef. I have never been to a restauraut before that has had a such a deep commitment to making good food.
Will be coming back for sure.
