I have always wanted to learn how to dance. With the gentle push of a Friend who recommended Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Woodbrigde, I decided to stop making excuses. I was told that if I wanted a place where I could feel confident and learn to lead in my life, then I came to the right place. My career is one where I spend long hours sitting at the computer. Thus, socializing and public speaking were not my forte, but dancing instruction helped me gain the skills I needed to use the talents I have and apply myself in a more directive management environment. Through the patience of my teachers and the wonderful people I have met, I have had the opportunity to develop rhythm and learn non-verbal cues of communication to help me lead and dance with esteem. Pushing myself to go outside my comfort zone and socialize during group experience has had a phenomenal impact on my career and life! I smile more as I move around more rhythmically, I participate more confidently in social environments and I even stand taller. Physically, I feel more vibrant and emotionally I am more stable and confident in myself!! Thank-you to the wonderful staff and people who participate every week in such a healthy and engaging environment. Opportunities are endless if you have the desire, give yourself the tools you need for life. As their motto says "Walk-in and Dance out!!"
