If you like Japanese and Thai food plus all you can eat style sit down this place is great. Prompt service food is well prepared. Not included in the all you can eat are desserts but ginger ice cream is my fav. Beef skewers and pumpkin soup are a must try. Items come as a la carte as well. Oh shrimp tempura is very well made (fluffly not heavy in batter). This is a new restaurant and has a fusion blend of decors. Noise is comfortable for regular talking volume. My husband and I love Sushi........ so we have been to alot of different resturants in the city. We stumbled into Kumo one night just before Christmas, the place was empty and we were a little nervous at first but decided to stay anyways. The place smelt amazing, no sign of fishy-ness anywhere ( I refuse to eat at any sushi resturant that smells of fish) The wonderful and energenic waitress came over and offered some sugestions to start, she suggested the sushi Terimsu 9unsure of spelling) my husband is always up for trying something new but I like my usual rolls and sashimi so I decided that I would try some of his instead of getting two. Let me tell you...... I think my husband got 1 bite. It was amazing!! We ordered a big party tray for dinner, the specialty rolls ( godzilla, spicy girl, kipling, superman) are the best I have ever had! Sushi servings are massive, fish is incredible fresh. The chef is absolutly amazing at what he does, we have been back 3 more times and now leave everything up to him, his home made sauces simple extra touches make the meal!!! By far the best sushi in Toronto!!!!!!!! Things I would recomend......... Sushi Teramisu Sushi Sandwitch Heavenly Tower Godzilla Roll Superman Roll Tuna Dumplings..... I always thought that the area needed a sushi place, as in the area of Bathurst/Finch and Bathurst/Sheppard there were no sushi places. In fact, the nearest sushi place was located on Yonge St. My family had the AYCE dinner (the dinner is 18.95 from Monday to Thursday and 20.95 for Friday and the Weekend). The sushi quality was really good, and I noticed that many of the other clients chose to order the sushi using the regular menu (the non AYCE option). In addition, The Sashimi slices were really big and very fresh. I also liked the environment of the Restaurant, and found the costumer service to be very good. A great sushi restaurant in Canada?! Wow I didn't think it could happen. We've been to Ichiban a few times now and brought friends. This place really is a hidden gem beside hockey sushi. Their rolls are nothing short of spectacular. The tiger roll and crispy roll are two of my favourites. The presentation of the rolls is always great, and how do you beat sauce that's deep fried? They also serve some korean dishes, and we had their bul-go-gi. I found it to be really good! The place seems to be run by Korean people, so maybe that's why. Service was exceptional. You can choose to sit at tables or in private rooms. The waitresses don't speak perfect English, but they're very friendly, polite, and helpful.
