Ive been going to this Dennys for a decade, so aside from staff who come and go, I know the key people, and of course that means I likely get more personalized service than would a newcomer. But a lot of locals patronize this diner regularly. It is super busy on weekends, so as Yogi Berra famously said, Oh, nobody goes there any more--its too crowded!
When a restaurant is crowded, thats a good sign. People dont crowd into a restaurant whose atmosphere, food, and service is second rate.

Great customer service. Thank you! When the waitress set down my Long Island Iced Tea, I picked it up & instantly the bottom of the glass broke away dumping the whole 'tall' glass of ice etc all over the table, splashing onto our faces, clothes & the seat. The waitresses were very appologetic, promptly cleaned up the mess-even offered to give me a shirt to wear! Also, my fresh drink, meal, PLUS the two other meals at the table were on the house! It was greatly appreciated & unexpected.

El Afrik Lounge has become one of my favorite places for a quick bite. I tried the Asun with fried ripe plantains, and both were cooked really well. The goat was nicely seasoned with just the right amount of spice, and the sweet plantains balanced the flavors perfectly. I finished my meal with a cold Malta, and it was exactly what I needed. Thanks for the great food and friendly service.
