As a second-generation hairdresser, Jackie Toews has grown up in the beauty industry and always wanted to have her own salon. “I come from a line of hairdressers. It’s something I’ve always been interested in since I was young. I started cutting my brother’s hair when I was about 12,” she says. “I was able to buy my own salon in 2012, so this has been a lifelong dream of mine.”

Everything about Fusion Salon & Spa is geared towards being a better experience for the clients and staff –something Jackie believes separates her from other salons. “The space is very welcoming, an old-fashioned style salon where everyone can talk to each other,” says Jackie. “There’s a hidden spa area that you don’t see when you first walk in. [It has] that very relaxing and open feel.”
