Best Chinese in Brantford (and we've been looking)
Have been looking for a good Chinese place that delivers since we moved to the area in 2000 and we think we've found it. Restaurant was quiet and service was knowledgeable, attentive, and a pleasure to speak to. Bei Jing has an excellent menu that was't too busy, and good, plentiful food on every plate. Wonton soup was a standout, as was the spicy chicken. Best of all, we learned they deliver to outskirts and beyond, which will make them our "go to Chinese place" when we want to order in to the rural Brant county.
After reading all of the great reviews for this place, I thought I would give it a try. I went during the week for dinner. When I walked in, the place was empty, no one was seated. There was the server behind the desk talking to a customer. I went up to the desk and I had to get a menu from the top of the desk, I wasn't even offered one. I told the server I would be dining in. I ordered the fried wonton for an appetizer, and the lemon chicken for the main course. As I was waiting for my items to arrive, I noticed about 6 or 7 people walk in for take-out. It seems to me as though this place is more of a take-out place then a dine-in place. As each person came in to take their food away, the server would speak to them for a lengthy amount of time, most of it was about other restaurants and how badly run they are. The server wasn't discrete about it either, he spoke freely without being worried about who was listening. My fried wonton came about 10 minutes after I ordered it. Then, about 1 minute after the fried wonton came, the lemon chicken arrived. I was hoping to have the fried wonton a lot earlier than the lemon chicken considering it was an appetizer. The fried wonton wasn't too good, the meat inside wasn't too tasty. The lemon chicken was drenched in lemon sauce, I couldn't even taste the chicken, all I tasted was the lemon sauce. I have to admit, the portion sizes are huge, and the prices are reasonable, I only paid $10.50 for what I ordered, and I was beyond stuffed. The server always came to my table to refill my water, so I definitely liked that. The decor of the place was really outdated, and it seemed as though the server was only interested in chatting to customers about the town's happenings. I definitely wouldn't come back to this place, the food wasn't the greatest, and the atmosphere wasn't good either.
This place has amazing foods & very reasonable prices. We ordered a dinner for 5 & ended up with enough food to feed 7 people. I cannot believe how huge their portion size is. You definitely get your moneys worth at this place. Fast deliver service too!

A co- worker of mine has been raving about this place; and advise me on trying it out. I decided to give it a try tonight, & I'm happy that I did. Their cuisine is absolutely fabulous!!
I find it extremely difficult to find good Chinese food nowadays. My family and I like finding hidden gems when it comes to Chinese food. Beijing's motto is "Always Fresh" and IT IS. Our meal was delicious. The prices are cheap, but you don't feel like you're getting cheap. The chicken balls were cooked perfectly! Not too crunchy, and not dry because they were cooked too long. This family that owns the restaurant certainly know what they're doing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Before we placed an order. I told the gentle man at the restaurant, that my sister was allergic to gluten. He told me it wasn't a problem. & even knew what my sister could & couldn't have. The food was fantastic.
We were customers of Nanking for years and will never eat there again so we went to the BeiJing Friday @ 5 p.m. Wow, they certainly have our continued business. The dishes contained generous portions of vegetables, meat, shrimp, bbq pork. Came to the table hot. The Mother and Son who took care of us were really friendly and helpful. The vegetables were saute to perfection. Wonderful meal for a change. The one thing I noticed is that the restaurant appeared clean and fresh .... no layers of dirt and grime like at NanKing!
We held our monthly family reunion at Beijing Resturant, because our family are from out of town and they love Chinese Food. So we took them to the BEST in Brantford. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes excellent Chinese Food and friendly customer service.
Best chinese food I've had in a longtime. Extremely fast & friendly service even on holidays. My entire family has been ordering from Bejing since 2003 and always enjoy it. If you ever have a chance you must try their Dry Garlic ribs!
Our favorite chinese restaraunt in brantford, food is always hot and fresh. Portion sizes are very good, lots of food on the plate. Dinner.#4 is our favorite.
Spring rolls are the best in town and big compared to all other places we've been too.
This is the only place that gives you 4 items plus the egg roll in your dinner for under $9.00.Nice friendly working staff as well.
Always good service, quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Food is very good and the prices are great. You get lots of food for a low price , especially when ordering dinner for 1. My favorite dinner for 1 is #4. We have been ordering take out and dine in from Beijing for years now.They also have the BEST spring rolls you will find at any chinese restarant in my opinion.
