Great for families

We had a reservation, and although they had a party going on in the private room the service was fine. They warned us they were really busy but I didn't find it slow. They had a great variety of stuff for the kids, but also for those of us who tend to stay away from carbs. I had the liver with extra veggies instead of potato and it was really good....it was two large pieces and I took one home. The kids loved the fish and chips and pasta, and my husband had a pasta as well, which he really enjoyed. This would be a great place to go after a day of skiing when you are REALLY hungry as the portions are very generous!

Fine Dining Family Style

I would classify The Olde Town as an excellent family style restaurant. Not quite fine dining, but not your average family restaurant either. One of us had the turkey dinner – “Christmas dinner” as the waiter called it. It was excellent, everything was perfect and the cranberry sauce was homemade. I had a special that was a striploin steak with a glass of wine. My steak was excellent with onion rings, mushrooms, steamed vegetables, and boiled potatoes. The steak was med-rare (although ordered medium), but I didn’t mind. I had a delicious piece of blueberry pie for dessert.

We've visited this restaurant three times and the food has been consistently excellent. Huge servings and everything home cooked. Friendly atmosphere. This isn't a fancy place and I wouldn't recommend ordering a bottle of wine but they've got good beer on tap.
