Thank you for such a great experience. It was my first time visiting Ottawa and I can say Mohamed, Pryia, Hakim and Manny made sure that everything went well. As soon as I arrived, they arranged transportation to their location. Took about 5-10 mins to check in and I was already driving. Car was really clean and well equipped. Thank you for the hospitality. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this location to everyone.
They will steal your money. I paid to reserve a car for 10am Saturday. When I got there they gave my reservation to someone else. And this didn't only happen to me, 3 other customers were waiting there because the same was done with their car. They told us come back in 4 hours, we might have a car for you then. And if you don't want to wait the 4 hours, they refuse to give you the money paid for the reservation. Don't plan any trips with them, they will ruin it for you.
The staff and service was great. I was stuck and needs a ride . One of the staff was quick to drive me. I extended my rental with no issues. I would definitely recommend and will be doing business with them again.

Do not ever rent a car from them. They always overbook, cancel your reservation (even if its prepaid. mine was) and dont even send you a mail about the cancellation. The excuse that i received was that they called me once and i didnt pick up. Lost close to $600 because i lost all the hotel and activities reservation and I was not able to get a car from any other rental company as it was a long weekend. I also had to file a claims dispute with the credit card company to get my money back.
I ordered a compact car and was only offered a Jeep when I got there. This used more gas than I wanted. It took half an hour to register once I got to the desk because there was only one extremely busy staff member. Also, the car was almost empty of gas and the first thing I had to do was fill up. I then had to return it empty which meant that I was afraid of running out of gas. It did not have a snow brush. It was a new vehicle and there was still sticker gue on the windshield.
Would give a 0-star rating if I could of Routes Car Rental Ottawa. When I returned the vehicle because of the strong smell of tobacco, I was blamed for not bringing it up during the inspection. There was no acknowledgement or apology even after telling them my daughter had to get medical attention due to the smoke smell in the vehicle. I will never use Routes Car Rental again due to the incredibly poor customer service and condition of vehicles.
I rented a car for theee weeks and although the car was nice the customaer service that I received the three times I interacted with Routes was terrible. I spent a lot of money there and was treated with zero respect. I will never use Routes again.
The customer service at this place is horrible. The employees are very rude and don't know how to speak to people in general! Also, they don't tell you that the km are not unlimited when you rent the car, it's in fine print. Yes the rates are cheaper, but that's because they have a limited number of km/day policy. I will not be renting from them ever again. They try to charge you for every little thing.
Great service ! Always avaiable and ready to help. Front desk is very informative. Renatls are always cleaned, serviced and ready to be taken out. Best and most convenient rental spot in ottawa!
DO NOT rent from here. Service was ok, lady did not know what she she was doing at the front desk. I rented a vehicle and they charged my credit card for extra charges 1 month and 2 months later. I had to call them both times and fight with them about the charges. I have heard others have had the same issue.
I prepaid and reserved my car on line. When I called the night before for them to pick me up at the airport, they could not find my reservation and did not have access to the main computer The next day I called and they said they did not have a vehicle for me, after begging them to find me a vehicle they give me a pick up truck, when I had reserved mazda. The manager was rude unprofessional, they took a 500.00 deposit on my credit card,When I returned my vehicle they wanted to charge me again.
i would like to say this is best rental car company in town they provide the best customer service, staffs are very professional and nice :) the have huge collection of suvs and other cars i would definitely recommend to rent from this company.
All I can say is stay away! I was making an on-line reservation it said unlimited free mileage. I called here directly to make sure it was really UTLD km. Priya confirmed that we qualified for UTLDkm & encouraged me to book with her instead, so I did. My reservation confirmation showed mileage at $0.20 per km & is denying everything. Luckily I recorded conversation and cancelled. If I would have had over $250 of extra charges on my card!Now she is accusing me of lying about my travel! BEWARE!
I would give 0 stars. Unlaw business. Had double dipped & charged Myer's for my rental, while my car was being repaired by them, as well as charged myself for the same rental. I contacted Routes & was reassured by Pria, the manager, that the funds would be released back into my account. In the end I had to get visa involved as Routes never released the money. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have experienced in my life! Pria never returned any of my calls over 4 months and Routes kept both charges!
