Very awesome dinner.!! The best! Atmosphere was great,,casual, and all round super time we had. Every morsel of food was great. Cleaned off that plate like never before.. and I am quite particular, picky.. Look forward to returning!! I will think of a reason to return. :)
Is the Loaf & Ale a pub or is it a restaurant? Is it a bar or is it a bistro? Well, it doesn't really matter. Its a very nice atmosphere with great service and very good food. Its a very woody, cozy interior with nice chairs, a fireplace, and a bar. Great for sipping drinks on a winter night or getting out of the heat on a summer afternoon. I have eaten here numerous times and found most everything fresh, well prepared, and quite delicious. The service is quite good too. The staff are fast and respond to individual preferences and requirements. Give this place a try. I think you will be quite glad you did.
As pubs go this one surprised us with its quick and cheerful service and competent cooking. Along with a wide variety of cold beers on tap it's more than just alright. My Shepherds Pie was very large, rich and meaty. I have a good appetite, but couldn't finish it. The Chicken Wrap was the more expected lunch portion size, fresh and tasty. The accompanying Caesar Salad had far too many of the dreaded pink vegetable bacon-like bits, but otherwise was just fine. Overall, these folks provide a superior comparative value and experience to the predictably mediocre chains that litter Ontario.
