food is very good and it has the traditional Chinese food I as a Canadian know and enjoy. pqortions are generous and served hot.

What more to say? I have been going there for 10+ years. Dinner for 4B for a family of 5. Leftovers for lunch. Nuff said.
Cypress Garden's food is great! We were looking around for a different Chinese food place and stumbled upon Cypress Garden and have never looked back. The price is so reasonable and the taste ...yummm...I don't understand those who really had a bad experience. We have tried many places and have had some terrible experiences...this was certainly not one of them!
I'm the type of guy who can't find the time to cook for myself. I've been trying these different chinese places ever since I moved to OTTAWA but was always disapointed with the quality and taste. I loved this restaurant the first time I ordered and have been faithful to it eversince ! The food tastes really good and isn't expensive. they also usually deliver very quickly. I recommend hands-up !!
My wife and I have been ordering from Cypress garden for about 10 years now, and Still find it as delicious as anywhere and consider ourselves lucky to be in the delivery vacinity. We ordered sesame chicken, general tsao chicken, garlic spicy beef, crispy beef wings and spring rools, and got a free dish that we down graded to chiken fried rice (the usual would have been chow mein). you can tell they have an old very well seasoned wok they use for the rice, very tasty just a hint of burnt just the way I like it. I do recomend Cypress gardens they have been around for a while and that speaks for itself.
I actually sought out a review site on the web to let people know just how bad the food is at this 'restaurant'. This was, hands down, the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. The chicken fried rice was burnt and smelled, tasted and had the texture of rice that was several days old and had been sitting in a huge bin, sprinkled with oil, warmed under a heat lamp, and then served in mass quantities. They probably make it on Monday and keep serving it all week long. The other dishes were simply disgusting. Everything, and I mean everything, was swimming in a tasteless petroleum jelly like substance. I took a bite of an egg roll and at least two teaspoons of warm oil poured out. The chicken was fatty, rubbery and cut razor thin, and the vegetables had obviously come from a massive freezer they have in the back room. The chicken balls were soaked in old oil and the chicken was dark. Everything tasted the same: greasy, oily and old. At first we even gave a chicken ball to our labrador retriever...she wouldn't eat it. We should have followed her example. We bought $64 worth of food, ate about 1/2 a plate each, then threw the rest out. My wife threw up about an hour later. Totally disgusting.
OMG ! I gave 3$ tip to the delevery guy (the asian guy) He was not happy ...he wanted more! The rice was burned ! The spare ribs were raw! The vegetables were overcook ! BAD BAD BAD !!!!
Low mein. That's the one with the noodles Mr. Andrew. You ordered the Canadian chow mein. Anyway i'm chinese and eat chinese food all the time. Cypress Garden makes yummy food.
We always order our Chinese food from Cypress Garden and not once have we had a bad experience. I highly recommend the Cypress Garden chicken wings. Any negative comments about Cypress Garden, ignore.
I highly recommend Cypress Garden to anyone. I have been a regular for about 5 years, ordering several times a month and never had a bad experience. The food has always arrived quickly and piping hot. The quality is always very good and the delivery people are always clean and courtious. They take their customer satisfaction very seriously. In the 100+ times I have ordered from them, there has only been one occasion when there was a mistake in the order and an item was missing. They had a very apologetic driver at the door faster than I believed possible with the missing item and a complimentary item to make up for the error. These guys are tops in my book.
Very good supper. The food was excellent, very tasty. We took the supper for 6 people and we had plenty of food. I would recommend it to anyone.
This is quite possibly the worst chinese food we have ever eaten. Bland and tasteless cheaply prepared food. The chow mein was 90% bean sprouts, the general tsos chicken was mostly fatty greasy breaded chicken and the sauce had no flavour. The garlic beef was mostly broccoli, and again, was bland Also when ordered I didnt know you get a free chicken fried rice - I ordered pork fried rice but they didn't tell me I was getting the chicken fried rice for free - so I had a ton of rice. It took almost 70 minutes to show up and half of it was ice cold. Also no fortune or almond cookies was in the bag - not a big deal but just shows how pathetic this company was. Not to mention how our stomachs felt after. I have never specifically gone onto a website to say what a bad eating experience I had, until now. Terrible. Avoid at all costs.
