BR Renovations is extremely unreliable and unprofessional. I have had a terrible time dealing with them and would recommend that you look elsewhere when searching for a contractor. We first made contact on March 15 about building custom furniture. I met Tomi (owner) in person on March 26. We reviewed the design concept and details and I paid a deposit of $200 for an order with a total cost of $1000. Over the next few months, Tomi was extremely difficult to get a hold of, and when I did get a hold of him, I was told the furniture would be ready in one week. This happened three times. I finally got a response to my emails and calls about setting a delivery date (I had yet to see any proof of the furniture being built) and we set a date and time. I waited for 3 hours. Tomi never showed up and never made any effort to call or email during that time. I got in contact again to set a new delivery date and time. This time, I waited for 9 hours and again, he never showed up and did not answer or return my calls. I then asked for my deposit to be returned, with no response. Only once I threatened legal action did I receive this email: We regret to inform you we will not be delivering the furniture a Cheque has been sent in the mail for $200.00 the deposit you had given us. Please allow 5 to 7 business days for delivery. We apologize for any inconvenience we have caused There is no doubt in my mind that Tomi never built a thing. I would strongly urge you to consider almost any other contractor. This has been a terrible experience and I am extremely disappointed in their unfinished work and their customer relations in general.
