DNL's Restaurant

My husband and I were vacaying in Sauble Beach and came across this gem for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We order saucages on the side. Not realising how big the bacon and eggs breakfast would be. But holy cow, the saucege although it looked ugly was about 8 inches long, and was the best tasting saucege that either of us has ever had. Definitely a place to go back to, you have to try this out!

My husband and I dined at this establishment during our stay in Sauble Beach and it was amazing!!! They’re portion size was more than enough to keep us full for over 8-10 hours. We also had take out from the restaurant and it was just as amazing and filling, the take out also traveled quite well back to Toronto. The staff were all very pleasant and welcoming.

Being the food snob that I am, finding a good dining experience in a beach town can be tricky. Mom & I went on the hunt for some lunch- mid day. We found the little diner and what a find! Great food, clean space, take away option....best onion rings EVER! Great home made potato soup- large enough for a meal. Loved the fish & chips- large= dinner size. Nice friendly service and clean restrooms. My only complaint- the restroom names...women are not " gulls" and boys are not " buoys"- a simple W & M are good enough. We'll be back...best peameal bacon too! Enjoy!

Pretty Good

Not bad. I was not expecting much but we were hungry and decided to try it out. The food was fine and the service was good. Overall, better than most sit down's on the beach.

the food tasted like they got it out of the lake.. very salty.. gross.. dining room was dusty and the carpets were filthy. washrooms are horrible.. bad service. will not return. they guy cooking was sweating and not wearing a hat!!

I thought when I walked in that I would be...

I thought when I walked in that I would be satisfied with my food/service. MAN WAS I WRONG! The tile on the floors look like it was done by a blind person. The wasrooms looked like a bomb went off inside of them, The tables looked like city picnic tables beause of the carving/scrathes. There was only 2 tables of people and the bald water was struggling to handle the 2 tables. The fish was soggy and raw and tasted like it was dropped on the floor, the burger didnt even taste like beef and you couldnt hang onto it because of the greese, the cheeseballs were alright but the sour cream tasted "Sour", the steak was raw and the beer was skunky! The Booth's that you sit in and general restaurant were FILTHY! I couldn't tell if the cook was wearing hairgel or just sweating! I think they need to buy hairnets and a mop! I brought some food home for my dogs, and they wouldn't even eat it, they would rather eat their droppings. If you could rate this place lower than a 1, thats what it would get.
