Place is back to the 50s is spotless Great place to eat , food was great and staff and owner was friendly and helpful , greeted at door and we all had great breakfast. Owner treated our kids on the way out ,made us feel at home very reasonable and great atmosphere ,we have found a great place to eat on weekends ! Tony
Food was adequate, portions a little small. Service a little slow but friendly. Will not be returning due to rude male owner. As a customer in his establishment, I would have expected being greeted nicely but instead I was met with dirty looks and a cold shoulder. There are much more pleasant places to eat at downtown Whitby where the owners are polite and welcoming.
My, overall meal was excellent and very affordable. The server was good and the place was spotless. I have been going to Oshawa Wimpys and this is the cleanest , and the best Wimpys in the whole chain .i will take

Wow! What a surprise, compared, with, some of the other,Wimpys ,in the chain ,the place is spotless , and the staff, are well mannered, and trained ! A credit goes to the operator, for running such a fine working , restaurant , operation ! I think that other Wimpys , in the chain , should go and get their training , there! Great food , i live their 10 oz burgers , yummy , pretty, waitresses spotless kitchen and place , ,good running operation. I travel all over Toronto , being a fussy truck driver, and I must say it's the best and cleanest , Wimpys and , by far, and one, of the best breakfast places in the Toronto metro area . and I must say it's on of best on Ontario . Lets actually put a review on here that doesn’t look like its written from an employee who works at it.ive been to Wimpys plenty of times only due to the fact that its so close, and everytime i go there the owners are always so rude which i don’t understand because its the business they are representing. I sat one time at the front window and had a meal while the owner interviewed someone right behind our booth and was so loud and rude to the person being interviewed it made me never want to go back. another time the cook was yelling at a server while she was trying to take another tables order, just a completely unprofessional environment I always expect a nice family diner environment instead its the most uncomfortable place, they don’t represent what other wimpys are like. I cant speak all negative because one of the servers there is always so friendly and always is making sure we have everything we need for our meal , small younger girl with dark brown hair we truly enjoy having her serve us.
I visited Wimpys with my family for a late Breakfast/ Lunch, Nd hound the place full and a line up , within 5 miin. We got a clean table , and a cheerful waitress, although we have visited this Wimpys before, she explained , the Breakfast Specials, also the lunch specials that were showing on the black board. We proceeded to order, and received the order, hot and nicely plated, within 7 min, for all 8 of us.We could not believe how quickly and fast the order came to out table,The food was great, especially their home frys. The Mexican omelette was superb that I and my wife had. the burgers, that my kids ordered, were so big that we asked to take them home. My inlaws have never been to Wimpys in Whitby before, and they ordered , a hot beef 2 steak and eggs , and 2 chicken clubs. The food was superb.My inlaws and their kids came from Montreal for a visit, and they could not believe the food amount that they received, and how, good it was, and how reasonable, the bill was. Our inlaws braged about this place all the way home, and commented that they wish that Coras was as good and As reasonable, as Wimpys, in Whitby.our kids were spoiled on the way out, the ouner Chief ,bought them all a slushie. The wife and I went in there and had a really "mixed bag" time in there.
She loved all of the stuff up on the walls and really, it made me feel like it was American Graffiti or something (kids ask your parents about that!), and the service was pretty nice too. I say pretty nice because although it was not bad, it wasn't like anything to write home about.
The food? Well, maybe I hadda bad day, or caught them on a bad time, but it wasn't that great. My burger was cold, and the cheese was that sliced junk (not shredded!) and we had to wait simply forever just for the appetizers to come by. I normally don't complain, but considering that it's all "flash-fry & grill " type food, it's not like they had to chop everything up and tend to it by hand like a professional chef or something.
Then again, maybe I am being too mean, you go to Wimpys for burgers and a good, "ole fashion" time. I think, with regards to that, it was average, but to be honest, I have had better burgers in Whitby, and not one of those yeecky Soylent Green burgs that the big chains serve either!!

The grilled chicken sandwich was amazing, however the service was horrible. We sat ourselves, and when I asked to have salad instead of fries, waitress ok'd it and then brought out both, I told her 2x I didn't order fries and she explained they came with the meal, so not to worry about it. We got the meal she charge $4 for the bowl of fries! We left it cause she never came back to our table, didn't leave a big tip for her,... but the food was fantastic and large portions!

I always love a Wimpy's burger...but never again from this location. The wait staff all seemed to be in happy, cooperative and in good communication. This only thing wrong, like others have stated here, is the owner. I was in with my wife and 2 kids and we had the pleasure of seeing him yell at a customer and then also yell and belittle the waitress because of that. Our waitress was extremely nice and seemed to never stop smiling until the owner turned on her. It appeared that 2 out of the 3 waitresses were about to break out in tears due to his ungrateful and disrespectful attitude towards them and their customers. If it weren't for him my family would be visiting Wimpy's on Brock street a lot more often.
I believe its a great place to eat for a good quality home style cooked meal. A bonus is the prices are very reasonable and the service was also very good. I also enjoyed the wimpy's atmosphere very much, it has a 50's theme with lots of interesting things to look at and talk about.
Wimpy's is part of a chain that seems to be struggling in a number of its locations.
The food was OK--but Wimpy's is in the category where OK is good enough. The probem is service which is just OK. The owner needs to work on the fun/friendliness factor for the staff.
OK if you are in the area, it is one of the few places open (e.g. on a Monday), and you are hungry.
