This is my favorite spot to go for lunch. They are lightening quick to serve you! Every day they offer a different type of vermicelli dish with a salad roll and drink for under $10! You can't beat that. The food is great, in my opinion one of the best in the city. You can also call ahead and have your lunch ready to pick up and take out! My favorite ice cream shop has become a staple for anyone visiting Calgary. I always take them here because the ice cream shop is so charming and is modeled after an old fashion ice cream shop. There are plenty of flavors to choose from. Whether you like some traditional like vanilla or chocolate, or if you want to try something with a twist, raspberry & lime, rootbeer, they have it here. The staff is really friendly. My own warning is that their bathrooms are disgusting and there is no real place to seat and hang out Lire plus

Servicing the business sector of downtown Calgary, West Restaurant is a great place to have lunch with colleagues or clients. The atmosphere is very modern and populated with business clientele, the service is quick, the pricing is reasonable, and the food is delicious. The only challenge I had was that I didn't make a reservation for lunch, and at 11:30 it was very busy and our table of 3 just about did not get in. There isn't any signage in ScotiaBank (as of posting May 21, 2010) as to where to go, at least I couldn't see it, so you have to make your way to the 2nd floor to enter the restaurant. The amazing smell of steak, made my mouth water from the moment I stepped in the restaurant. I ordered the Rib-eye med-rare, and it came out to me on a sizzling place and cooked perfectly. We shared a side of mushroom and potato gratin. We had a chopped salad as an appetizer. Everything was delicious, absolutely nothing to complain about. Food was great, as well as the service. Our server was fantastic; he was polite, friendly, made GREAT food/drink suggestions, and our glasses were never empty. The food was incredible. We really enjoyed the variety of options and quality of the ingredients! - I think our favourite was the octopus. Hats off to the management, front of house staff, and kitchen!
