We were in the reception room for the delicious dinner and speeches and then moved into the restaurant where they had prepared the dance floor.James and his staff were very accommodating. The food , atmosphere and price were excellent . Prior to this we had hosted a dinner for 24 people and were very satisfied with the service, the food and the price. I went there with no expectations, and was agreeably surprised. Service was fast. We made our first order (a mix of many things) and everything was brought to the table as it was ready so we were able to start eating. Food was great; service was great. We did order a bit too much too fast, so a tip would be to not order too much food at first, and to re-order more often smaller quantities. Man Ling Restaurant is the only Chinese restaurant (except for 1 in Brockville) that I eat at, for a number of reasons: First all of their food is MSG-free, is fabulous and always fresh (nothing heated up from 2 hours ago). The best egg rolls ever and my favourite is beef and green peppers. I have eaten there over 25 times and it's always perfect. Hats off to Man Ling. Decided to try Zola's breakfast again...it was excellent. I had breakfast several months previously and did not find it very good. However this visit was excellent. I had the breakfast special...two eggs over easy with sausage and homefries. The eggs and sausage were very good. The home fries are at least equal to any I have tasted in the city. breakfast come with a fabulous fresh fruit cup and a rosemary spiced grilled tomatoe and great artisan ancient grain bread.
