I've been here multiple times, and I'll admit, the service is not the best I've received. Somedays the owner (who is an old Mexican lady) is extremely thoughtful and talks with us, other times I've been, she's been cold, and barely talks. However, if you want to have a great meal in a small, not usually crowded place, La Cantina is perfect. The food is not too expensive and tastes great. The best guacamole I've ever had! Lire plus

We both ordered Tempura Udon. The food was no doubt one of the best in Toronto with regards to quality and quantity. Server was okay and service was good. However the other guy behind the counter was snobbish. My friend called for the bill and signalled the guy. The guy just looked at my friend for a few seconds not showing any acknowledgement or emotion which made us think this was something. He just moved away from the counter and continued doing what he was doing. Our server came with the bill shortly and I asked if her colleague understood my friend. We then realized that the guy did understand my friend's request for the bill but he did not show a bit of reaction or acknowledgement. I consider that disrespectful. A little thing. We sat on the long sofa. It was comfortable but due to the depth of the sofa it was hard to sit down and get up considering it took so much space under the table. Lire plus
