We are Maids Cottage regulars and have rarely if ever been disappointed. The food is as close to home cooked as you will ever get in any restaurant, in any city, anywhere in the world. We're not talking Haute Cuisine here but Comfort Food. Any of the rare times there has been anything that I didn't like or took to long (they can be very,very busy at times) the staff has been more than accommodating about making it right. The service is fast, friendly and personal. And yes the butter tarts are as good as everyone says.

My girlfriend and I went up to tobermory ontario a few weeks ago. I have never had such amazing customer service in my entire life. Our server was super kind, funny and made lots of jokes to keep us entertained through our meal. The food was fast to arrive, fresh, and tasted delicious the light the entire dish, I highly recommend eating here on any visit to tobermory, and I hope you get the same server as us his name was James :)

I had the best pub food EVER here..the food was presented nicely and tasted AMAZING! ( I had the Bangers, Bean and Mash) My husband had a melt in your mouth Filet Mignon with a OBVIOUSLY house made peppercorn sauce..yum. (And I think it was $15!!! :) ) Our server was awesome and we had a fun time chatting with her! Plenty of parking, unbeatable prices and a warm atmosphere. doesnt feel like a chain resturant at all. Love it! Will be back again and again. In fact, I think we'll pop in tonight!!

Son recommended them, so we went last week. The best fish & chips we have ever had & you couldn’t beat the seniors price. Portions were generous & batter was done to perfection. The owner was so friendly, brought our meal to the table & checked a couple of times to make sure everything was fine. Had a nice chat before we left, we wouldn’t go anywhere else now.
