On Oct 1st,2017 my wife and I went to the Olive Garden Resturant on 36th St NE South. Upon arrival the hostess at the front desk where just two bubbling young ladies. They took us to our seats and then our waiter named Kaylin took our order. We have eaten out a lot in our lives. But the service and friendliness of Kaylin our waiter was fantastic The food was also some of the best I have had. I had the shrimp chicken, Carbonari it was to die for. The wife had soup and breadsticks she loved them.

The amazing smell of steak, made my mouth water from the moment I stepped in the restaurant. I ordered the Rib-eye med-rare, and it came out to me on a sizzling place and cooked perfectly. We shared a side of mushroom and potato gratin. We had a chopped salad as an appetizer. Everything was delicious, absolutely nothing to complain about. Food was great, as well as the service. We each had a glass of wine, recommended by our knowledgeable server and we loved it. They even paid for our parking. Our entire evening was perfect.

Attended on Friday, Oct 26/18 with reservations, specifically indicating Birthday Celebration for daughters birthday. I again mentioned birthday when arriving. They didnt do anything for birthday. Mentioned again to server (girl) that it was daughters birthday, so she said okay gets free ice cream. No one did anything else...no birthday wishes or song!! Was assured when making resevations that this would be done! VERY DISAPPOINTED. Two young girls were looking forward to that as well!

The new space is lovely- refined but traditional. Tasteful, the art, lighting, linens. Food and wine has always been consistently wonderful. Service is always exceptional, so nice to have professional waiters. Also really appreciate the lovely personal service when making a reservation. We LOVE this restaurant. We have been eating here for 15 years, and it never disappoints. Miss Kim has become part of our extended Chinese family, and always makes us feel so welcome. Fresh, flavourful food and a great variety of dishes are standard. The lunch special is a great bargain, and we try to bring our granddaughters here whenever they are in town. It is their favourite restaurant too. :)
