Clothes Horse Ladies Quality Consignment

Clothes Horse opened its doors in 1991 with a mission of helping women to find the clothes they needed without having to overspend on their wardrobes. Before opening the consignment-based business with partner Sharmane Prince, Karen Yarrow experienced firsthand the difficulty of finding fashionable clothing at a decent price. "What a great concept for women who can't necessarily afford to get new things," she says. "They can get very current items for about a quarter of the cost, and still be very fashionable."

After seeing how difficult it could be to shop consignment stores and find great deals, Karen dedicated herself to creating the kind of business where the women of Calgary could find well-priced clothing. Top-quality fabrics and current fashion trends don't have to come with an outrageous price tag. “Our goal is to provide current, quality fashions to our customers at affordable prices,” says Karen.
