We bought the offered additional “insurance” cover, which we were glad about when we accidentally scratched the side of the van. We were less happy when a $1000 “deductible” was added to our bill the following day. The van was already scratched up and the manager (who had failed to disclose the deductible up-front) refused to confirm that the money would go to repairs - so we were fined a four figure sum for scratching an already-scratched older vehicle. This is not how insurance should be sold.
