    My Bar ~ good changes

    I frequent local bars looking for food and drink deals. I am happy to report that I find, "My Bar" previously called "The Goose & Tressel" in the Howard-Johnson's on Gorge Road in Victoria to be one of the more economical places to go. Beer prices are very reasonable: 20 oz glass of beer (they don't sell 8-9 oz glasses of beer) are $4.00 for a Cariboo beer. That is one of the best prices in town. The food has improved substantially since the new owner has leased the place and here again the prices are very reasonable. On Saturdays they host a blues jam. Give "My Bar" a try for yourself as you may find it economical as well as a friendly place to enjoy lunch and a beverage.

    Good food!

    My husband and I went to this little pub off the Gorge and were really impressed. We immediately felt like we walked into the tv show Cheers. We were greeted with friendly service and good prices on drinks, We ordered burger and beer for $10! It was delicious! The atmosphere is laid back and not pretentious. We were told there would be karaoke after but we could not stay... Over all we were impressed with the food and service....
