WORST EVER

Having gone to East Side's in other areas of Ottawa, I expected the usual pedestrian food and service that all the other locations seem to have. This location was different, and in the worst way. Service was rude right off the bat. We waited forever while listening to two of the rudest, foul mouthed waitresses cut down their own staff and restaurant. When I politely pointed out that we were waiting (this was after about half an hour) I was greeted with eye rolling and some muttering I'm glad I didn't fully hear. My pasta was cold, I didn't even bother telling the waitress as she was busy complaining to her friend...again. When I was using the restroom, the waitress had the audacity to approach my table and ask my friends "what my problem was", and made various other unwanted comments. I phoned the manager the next day and was told that "maybe I didn't tip enough". He then said he was busy, and would phone me back. I'm still waiting. I just have one question- did the waitress have a crystal ball to determine what tip I would give? How did she know in advance to be rude?

Best Service that I have ever Recieved

I've been visiting alot of restaurants in Otwwawa due to my business travels and came across this store and Kanata. To my surprize from the greeting to the food and service even though its a casual dinning restaurant its service ranks as good if not better then a fine dinning restaurant. If you have never dropped by East Sie Mario's you definately try out this one.

I have been to this place many times and the food...

I have been to this place many times and the food and service are always good. The new decor is a huge improvement, the chandaliers are a very fun touch. My only concerns were that my bread was late getting to the table and that it is sometimes loud if you are sitting near the bar area. I would go there again and I do recommend it.

I've visited allot of East Side Mario's before...

I've visited allot of East Side Mario's before and never have I ever recieved the service that I recieved in this store. From the friendly staff great food and the new look this locaion has it all. The bar atmosphere with large screen TVs is definately the best place to watch the senators.

I really enjoy the atmosphere at this east side...

I really enjoy the atmosphere at this east side mario's location. Hosts and Hostesses were very respectful during the wait and were really good at their greetings. Servers were awesome they were quick and very energetic all in all we loved the restaurant and we'll defenetly be coming back soon!

This used to be my favourite restaurant! I would wish as often as twice a day, ordering my usual order of Vegetable soup and beer. However, it came to my attention that the vegetable soup is made with chicken broth, and when this was made clear to me by a friend who serves there, I vowed never to return. Good service though, unless someone in your party rudely slams their cup on the table.

I dropped by to play NTN one night, and had a meal in the bar. The bartender, a sweet lady named Shelia, is the best thing about the place. The management has changed, and the place has gone downhill since our last visit The homemade bread and salad, were excellent. My chicken pasta, with sauce, was a pretty small portion, and rated an okay. It was lucky the bread and salad were served, as the chicken was lacking. It was fairly pricey, over 11.00 for the dish, and not worth it, except as I stated, for the side servings. Next time I go, I will just have a couple of drinks. The bar menu is half-priced on game nights, which makes it reasonable. Big points to the bartender, she was a real sweetheart
