This was our third vist to the Bungalow,and I'm thinking of maybe just putting it on the calendar as a monthly visit !! I secretly do not want everyone to know about this place or we may never get in again,but kudos to them as the food and service is terrific in a casual atmosphere.We have yet to be disappointed. My husband whom is a true burger lover, of course has had the burger every time, and for someone who does not stray from a normal cheeseburger is starting to branch out with all the different toppings offered. I have had the burgers and thier chicken sandwhich,all I can say is unbeieiveable on all counts!! Delicous!!! All the fresh ingredients truly make the differance. Building your own burger from the bun to the toppings is a great option. Simply,choose your style bun,type of cheese, and one of the 30 or so toppings grilled to juicy perfection,(not dry),whala,a burger done your way!!! This is old school grilled like the good old days, and a twist with new style items, like Asian slaw or Terriso and old favourites aswell. I defy anyone to find a way to be able to find just one fav combination. I've made a greek style burger, feta,taziki etc. This comes from a girl that does not care for hamburger all that much,but today I had a craving for a Bunaglow Burger, and I am satisfied...for now! Did I mention with each burger you can choose a side dish,anything from baked beans to cole slaw favourites to the Mac and cheese, ( is to die for, deep fried pickles are treat and the onion rings seem to be homemade,(this was my only not great review, the rings seemed extremely greasy,perhaps not enough time to drain,but maybe that was just today?)But this did not mean I had terrible meal,as it was terrific. I can't believe how much I enjoy this burger "joint"! Its the type of place that leaves all guests checking out the table next to them and chatting about our favs.After tonight I may be into the pizza next visit, a fellow next to us said it was awesome and was very glad he'd tried it finally!The menu is very varied and you can find anything from a salad to a club sandwhich.The service each time is extremely friendly,professional yet personal just the same,excellent staff! The pricing is affordable and reasonable for a great meal.I think theres a reason they don't bother to put the desserts on the menu...theres no room left in the tummy!! Thanks tonight to Clare,she was wonderful! To the owners,well done this place is a hit by all standards!! See you next month...if not sooner!!
Excellent burgers - when they don't over-cook them! They've also got some really nice sides - the habanero soup and the mac & cheese are particulary inspiring paired up with a burger. Not in the mood for meat? The pear and gorgonzolla salad is also a show stopper.
You'll find the Bungalow tucked away in an otherwise residential neighborhood. It seems a little out of place. But the restaurant inside is a cozy little hub of activity. Worth hunting down a parking spot for.
Excellent menu, great atmosphere. Try the burgers you pick your meat, bun and toppings from a list of approx 30 toppings and the side choices are fantastic. The habenaro potato bacon cheddar soup is to die for. The bungalow hotdog is a perfect combo of toppings....who thought of battered pickles on a hotdog, love it! One of our favourite restaurants and i'm sure everyone who has been will gladly agree. For a good gourmet burger without the wait go here you won't be disappointed.
