Bombay Trendz

I am an Caucasian American who married into an Indian family. I was overwhelmed with the traditions and new clothing I was to wear for certain events (wedding, reception, sangeet, engagament..) When I met Rohan and is amazing family and staff, I immediately felt a sense of relief. I wanted to mix my tradition (white dress) with the indian lengha. Thoughout the entire process of designing, ordering, and delivering my dress Rohan kept me updated. Rohan delivered immensely. I am beyond happy.

The first time I ever shopped at Bombay trendz was in 2013, when I fell in love with their collection of clothing, as well as their customer service. Rohan and his parents truly make you feel like family, and always give you their honest opinion. While some say their pricing is expensive, having bought outfits from many other stores over the years for my brother and sisters wedding, I can honestly tell you that it’s worth it for the QUALITY that they give you. Bombay Trendz is my go-to!

I had a visit to ...

I had a visit to this store with a friend today in hopes to get a sense of a potential wedding outfit for myself. I was welcomed into the store with an abrupt 'when is your marriage date' by the owner (an older gentlemen...or should I say someone that lacks the qualities of a gentlemen). After we did a quick browse of the store, I came across 3 outfits that I really liked. When I asked if I could try them on, I was told I can't and I should quote, 'hold them up to my body'. Me and my friend looked at one another dumbstruck by this remark. We actually thought it was a joke at first. But he continued to say that, because I had told him I had come to the store to only browse, I should just hold up the outfits instead of trying them on. We explained to him that in order to get a sense of what an outfit looks like on someone, they would need to try it on. He then proceeded to say 'well you're not buying it, so why do you need to try it on'. Well sir, normally before someone makes a purchase, they tend to try on the item. That's usually how it works. But clearly, I've missed something here. I was then told that I shouldn't bother with the style I picked as it'll be out of fashion next year. Hmmm, I wondered at this point who the customer was. Was he trying to convince me NOT to buy this item? At this point,I looked at my friend and said let's go. They just lost a potential customer. I likely would've come out of this with something in hand but not at the expense of the service I was being offered. I refuse to put my money into a business that lacks customer service. Never have I experienced such awful service. Truly disappointed. This called for a review. I have to say this is only the second time I've ever written one!!

Went shopping for...

Went shopping for my sister's wedding. Very poor service and poor quality of clothes. The owner said he designed all the clothes but I have seen the exact outfit in a shop in India. Overall, terrible experience. Would not recommend this store to anyone.
