Very disappointed with the owner. I went with my 4 year old little brother to order some food for him from the kids menu and she said I couldn't sit down and eat at the restaurant. I asked her why and she said because it was from the cheap menu. I had already eaten but since the lady made a big deal about it, I decided to order him a regular adult plate. Never going back there again and I'm definitely going to let people know about the discrimination I experienced at this restaurant.

Love it!

My husband and I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. We find that with Orleans being so full of "big box" generic restaurants, it's nice to find a little haven of yummy~ness! We've been here many times and ordered take-out as well and have never had any complaints. We always order the same thing (shrimp rice paper rolls, vermacelli with chicken and spring rolls - we've also tried the pho soup) and it's always SO good. The peanut sauce is definitely addictive!! Although ambiance is meh, service is spectacular - fast, friendly, and always accurate. Definitely a gem!!!

I have visited many pho restaurants and this one just does not deliver. The broth is bland and you do not get a lot of meat. Like 3 pieces for a medium. I would much rather make the 15 min trip to somerset.

This unflashy restaurant delivers what most...

This unflashy restaurant delivers what most people want from a restaurant, GREAt food at a VERY reasonable price. The decor is lacking but you don't eat decor now do you. We have been back here over a dozen times with all our friends and love it . The owner always visits the tables with her sweet sense of humour makes you feel at home.

A great little Pho place in Orleans

My husband ans I were sick and tired of big box restaurants (practically the only place to eat in Orleans) when we decided to try this place. It was great! We came in at 8:15 (just before closing time at 9:30) and the service was very friendly and warm. The shrimp rolls were fresh and crispy, an explosion of flavour. The Pho was delicious with a flavourful broth and loads of fresh bean sprouts and coriander to add. Parking was easy since the restaurant was not busy, however, it would be hard to park nearby if the parking lot was full. But parking is free (as almost everywhere else in Orleans). I can't wait to return and try something else.

Hidden Gem in Orleans

Pho Truc Lien has been in Orleans for just over a year, and has got to be one of the finest hidden gems in our little suburban neighbourhood. Located in the old Cumberland House restaurant, it serves your typical Vietnamese dishes, from pho right to your chicken and vermicelli blanket dishes. Although the food portions have been said to be small by some (I am not this is by people who eat the whole bowl of pasta at East Sides and have no comprehension of portion sizes), I am completely filled by their vegetarian spring rolls and a medium bowl of Pho Ga. My wife and daughter love shrimp or chicken vermicelli plates, while my son has even begun to eat many different plates as well. Have yet to try a bad meal here. As for the service, the staff are friendly, and go out of their way to ensure that you are happy and enjoy your experience. The only comment to be made is if you have any difficulty with stairs (as I do at times due to knee issues) make sure you go to the bathroom before hand. The restrooms are downstairs, and the doors are heavy (my 9 year old was "stuck" in the ladies room as she could not get the door open...luckily we went down after she did not return for a few minutes past her usual. However, for anyone looking for a great Vietnamese meal, try this place out.
