Ordered a salad for take out and was missing toppings, a fork and the chicken was not sliced.... Just lettuce, a full breast and 2 half full salad sauce cups.
Ordered from this place online...when we received it the delivery guy was extremely crude in the comments he made towards me (you're delivering my dinner, i dont need to hear your gross pervy comments)
we didn't receive any dressing or croutons for our salads, the chicken pot pie was so small we actually had to lift the crust to see if there was anything underneath it....when we called and complained they did send us our full order all over again for free so points for that, i just don't understand why they couldn't get it right the first time!
food was mediocre tasting, poor for Swiss chalet quality, delivery guy was rude AGAIN only this time my male friend answered the door and i could see the guy peering into the apartment and asking "what happened to the girl from earlier" . So Gross!
when doing hiring a lil background checking might be nice. As a woman, i should be able to order from anywhere and not feel creeped out or degraded by the delivery person. I was really disappointed that i would experience something like that from Swiss chalet considering they're a family restaurant.
I know i put that i would "maybe" re-visit, let me clarify. I would MAYBE dine in at this location, i will NEVER order delivery from Swiss Chalet in general again.
Have eaten in Swiss Chalet's all over the place. They are typically a good place for lunch and most dishes are tasty. I have had my share of bad experiences in them, especially with the Chicken Pot Pies. I have had food poisoning at least twice from them. If they sit for long they will go bad. If you get a fresh one they are great.
Just last night we ordered a chicken and rib combo via the new on-line ordering system. This was for the location at the Pen Center. It said come at 7:22 pm and we did. We were told someone screwed up and it would be another 10 minutes. 25 minutes later and following a conversation with the manager we got our food. The ribs were as tough as shoe leather and impossible to eat. They were thrown out. This is one major problem with Swiss Chalet, they many times run out of ribs or serve them under cooked. If you get there at dinner time you will probably be OK, order them late and you are taking your chances. Most of the staff in summer are students and they are hideously under trained and dumb.
Garlic bread almost killed me. I've never had so much garlic dripping all over the bread. It didn't taste right and did not sit well all day. Chicken is always good. They need to change their fries. Nice bar area, always clean, can get very crowded.
